Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz from Texas's 15th district attended the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States, alongside Vice President J.D. Vance.

De La Cruz expressed her sentiments on the occasion, stating, “It is an honor to witness this historic moment.” She drew a parallel with President Ronald Reagan's inauguration in 1985, noting that "President Trump and Vice President Vance did the same today." According to De La Cruz, their leadership signifies "the beginning of a stronger, more secure, and prosperous America."

She highlighted the role Hispanic Americans played in their victory, particularly emphasizing communities like South Texas. "Our community understands the value of hard work, family, and opportunity," she said. De La Cruz looks forward to collaborating with the new administration on issues such as border security, economic growth, and protecting seniors to benefit families in South Texas.
