De La Cruz honors Dr. Milton Gonzalez at National Prayer Breakfast

Congresswoman De La Cruz of Texas's 15th district attended the National Prayer Breakfast, accompanied by Dr. Milton Louis Gonzalez from McAllen. After the event, De La Cruz spoke on the House floor to honor Dr. Gonzalez.

"I rise today to honor my guest for this year’s National Prayer Breakfast, Dr. Milton Gonzalez from McAllen, Texas," she stated.

Dr. Gonzalez has been a significant figure in South Texas for over 25 years, dedicating his life to education and faith. De La Cruz highlighted his impact: "For over 25 years, Dr. Milton Louis Gonzalez has taught and inspired South Texans. He’s dedicated his life to ensuring the next generation is able to reach their potential and live a life of faith."

She praised his ability to connect with people through speech: "Not only has his gift for speaking touched many lives, but his insightful speeches have empowered people across the world."

In addition to his professional accomplishments, De La Cruz acknowledged his personal life: "Outside his incredible work, Dr. Gonzalez is a man of great faith, a devoted husband, proud father of two, and a grandfather."

De La Cruz expressed her gratitude for Dr. Gonzalez's presence at the event: "I am honored to recognize Dr. Gonzalez. It was my pleasure to have him join me in praying for our nation and our leaders at the National Prayer Breakfast."

The National Prayer Breakfast has been an annual event since 1953, allowing national leaders to gather in prayer. This year's breakfast included remarks from President Trump.
