Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz recently signed onto a letter urging the Biden Adminstration to stop reported plea deal negotiations with terrorists tied to the 9/11 terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people more than 20 years ago.

“According to reports, these agreements would remove the possibility of the death penalty,” the letter reads. “If true, this would be a grave miscarriage of justice, especially for the families of the 2,977 innocent civilians and first responders we lost that fateful day.”

As the nation approaches the 22nd anniversary of the attacks on New York, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon, De La Cruz expressed shock that terrorists could escape the very fate they inflicted on thousands.

“If true, it is sickening to think the Biden Department of Justice would allow terrorists to essentially get away with mass murder that led the longest war in American history,” the congresswoman said in a statement. “The innocent civilians, brave first responders, and military personnel who lost their lives on that day and since due to illness caused by the attacks deserve better than this from their government. I will not stop fighting for justice for 9/11 victims and neither should anyone else who’s sworn an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.”
