WASHINGTON (May 15, 2023) – H.Res. 363, expressing support for recognizing "National Police Week,” was recently co-sponsored by Congresswomen Monica De La Cruz (TX-15).
The resolution recognizes law enforcement officers across the United States in the pursuit of preserving safe and secure communities; the need to ensure that such officers have the equipment, training, and resources necessary to protect their health and safety while protecting the public; and the law enforcement community for acts of sacrifice and heroism.
The resolution also expresses condolences and appreciation to the loved ones of each law enforcement officer who has made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
“Our police officers and other law enforcement deserve our respect and thanks,” De La Cruz said. “That is why I am proud to co-sponsor a resolution to make this week National Police Week. I am proud of all of our police, from local patrol officers on the streets of our communities to Border Patrol agents helping secure our border. Thank you for answering the call and serving our communities.”
