Carrie Isaac has been actively reporting on the critical weather situation in Texas, particularly focusing on the flood emergency affecting various regions. Her updates provide crucial information about the current state of affairs and necessary precautions for residents.
On July 7, 2025, Isaac reported a “CRITICAL WEATHER ALERT: TEXAS FLOOD EMERGENCY”. She stated that Texas was under a Level 1 Emergency due to widespread flash flooding across the Hill Country and surrounding areas. The Blanco and Guadalupe Rivers were noted to be at dangerous flood stages, and major roads were impacted.
Later that day, she shared a warning message from GBRA, which highlighted that recent flooding had caused elevated flows and left flood debris in the upper Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake. The GBRA advised the public to avoid these areas upstream of the reservoir for several days.
On July 8, 2025, Isaac provided an update regarding a Boil Water Notice issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Due to severe flooding and continued debris from the Guadalupe River entering Canyon Lake, this notice affected the Canyon Lake Shores system and additional areas.
The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) is responsible for managing water resources in this region of Texas.
