City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
On Saturday, January 9, 2021, the City of New Braunfels Solid Waste and Recycling Division is hosting a household electronics recycling drop-off event for New Braunfels residents.
The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of New Braunfels City Hall, located at 550 Landa St. Participants must enter from Laurel Lane. Please remember to remain in your car and wear a mask during interactions with staff.
The following items will be accepted: computers, computer accessories, computer monitors, televisions, telephones, copiers/printers, laptops, and cell phones.
Household appliances, including refrigerators and blenders, yard maintenance equipment, smoke detectors, alkaline batteries, light bulbs, or items containing Freon, will not be accepted.
Please bring smaller items containerized in a box or bin, so they can be easily unloaded.
Participation in the event is free to New Braunfels residents and an opportunity to recycle electronics that are no longer wanted or may have been upgraded over the holidays.
