City of Garden Ridge issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
A friendly reminder that City Hall will be closed on January 1st in observance of New Year's Day. Please remember that fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Garden Ridge in accordance with Ordinance 32. Use of fireworks could lead to fires, personal harm, or other emergencies. Garden Ridge police will be on patrol and will respond to calls, as they are able. The use of fireworks could lead to a $500 fine. Don't take the risk. Please help protect our community and your safety. Enjoy your New Year's Celebration responsibly!
