City of Garden Ridge issued the following announcement on Nov. 18.
Recently the Police Department purchased a traffic analyzer to assist when receiving complaints regarding speeding vehicles in neighborhoods. It seems as though someone in the area decided they wanted the device more than we did. The Traffic Analyzer was stolen from its location on Tonkawa Pass over the weekend. The person cut through chains and removed brackets to take it. The unit is a small black box approximately 12 inches square and 6 inches deep with a large steel bracket attached.
If the Traffic Analyzer is returned to the Police Department in the next 72 hours, I will forego paying the fee to have the GPS unit in it activated to locate and track it. If you have any information regarding where it might be, you can contact the Garden Ridge Police Department at 210-651-6441.
Hopefully this issue will resolve itself before the week is over
