City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.

District 3 Council member Harry Bowers and District 4 Council member Matthew Hoyt are teaming up to host a virtual public meeting in order to give residents an update on the Lakeview Boulevard Improvement Project, which spans portions of both of those City Council districts.
The project is a part of the $15 million dollar Citywide Streets improvement program that was approved by voters in the 2019 Bond election. Dean Word has been selected as the contractor for the Lakeview Blvd. project, which consists of pavement rehab, spot base repair, milling, and overlay from California Blvd. to Torrey St. Sidewalks will also be added on the Southeast side of Lakeview Blvd. ending at Klingemann St. Weather and other factors permitting, the project will begin on November 23rd and is expected to be complete in early Summer 2021.
