CITY OF NEW BRAUNFELS: Labor Day Holiday Closures 2020

City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.

Many City of New Braunfels facilities, including City Hall, the Library, Parks & Recreation administrative offices, the Fischer Park Nature Center, the Municipal Annex, the city’s Recycling Center, and the Westside Community Center will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2020, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.  Here’s a look at the holiday weekend schedule for city facilities and operations: 

Das Rec

Das Rec, the city’s Recreation Center, will have normal hours of operation on Saturday, the facility is currently closed on Sundays, and then will reopen on Monday from 8am to 5pm. 

Garbage and Recycling Collection

Although the Solid Waste Division’s administrative offices will be closed on Labor Day Monday, the city will continue to collect residential and commercial waste, brush, and recycling items as usual.  

The city’s Recycling Center will continue its usual schedule of being closed on Mondays. 

Library

The New Braunfels Public Library will continue with its regular hours of operation on Saturday but will be closed on Sunday and Monday.  

Park Facilities and Amenities

The Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs will have normal operating hours.   

The Landa Park Aquatic Complex will be open from 10am to 7pm Saturday, noon to 7pm Sunday, and from 10am to 7pm Monday.   

The Landa Park Mini-Golf Course will be open from 10am to 8pm Saturday and from 10am to 8pm Sunday and Monday.  

The Fischer Park Nature Center will operate as usual Saturday and Sunday, but will be closed on Monday.  

Westside Community Center

The Westside Community Center will continue with its regular hours of operation on Saturday but will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
