City of Fair Oaks Ranch issued the following announcement on Aug. 26.
The City’s Drought Contingency Plan provides for initiation of Stage 1 when two (2) of the three conditions are met:
(1) The static water level in the FORU observation well averages less than or equal to 1045 feet above mean sea level for fifteen consecutive days,
(2) The water system’s average daily production of Trinity Aquifer groundwater for the same fifteen consecutive days exceeds 1.2 million gallons per day, or
(3) Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority implements Stage 1 water reduction requirements from their drought contingency plan.
Surcharges will go into effect for consumption beginning August 2020.
