City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on July 14.
The base repair and pavement phase of the Kerlick Lane Improvement Project will begin the first week of August.
This is the second phase of improvements to Kerlick Lane, which is a project that was identified and funded after being approved by voters in the 2019 Bond Election.
Once the project begins, drivers should be prepared for shifting lanes of traffic at various locations on Kerlick Lane between Mission Hills and Walnut Ave. so that contractors can perform spot base repair. The milling and overlay of Kerlick Lane, as well as Walhalla Street, is tentatively expected to take place in late August, weather permitting.
During construction hours, Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm, drivers are asked to not park their vehicles along the curb in the construction zone.
