City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on July 7.
Councilmember Harry Bowers, the District 3 representative on New Braunfels City Council, will host his quarterly citizen forum on Wednesday, July 15th, at 6pm.
Due to the ongoing response to COVID-19, this forum will be held virtually using the Zoom online video conference platform.
“In the interest of public safety, this will be my first citizen forum that will be held virtually. Historically, we’ve had very good attendance at these quarterly meetings and I’m hoping the residents of District 3 will continue their participation in this new format,” said Councilmember Bowers.
Each quarterly forum has a main topic of discussion, and during this meeting, Public Works Director Greg Malatek and City Engineer Garry Ford will join the conversation to discuss pedestrian safety on Fredericksburg Road, from Ohio St. to Landa Park.
“We will be discussing possible safety improvements and I’m hoping to hear from residents that live along Fredericksburg Rd. as well as from those that use that stretch of roadway for exercise and recreation,” said Councilmember Bowers.
The forum will also include updates from previous forums as well as a general question and answer session.
