City of Fair Oaks Ranch issued the following announcement on June 15.
City Manager Tobin Maples has selected the City of Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department’s Interim Police Chief Tim Moring as the City’s new permanent Chief of Police.
We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Chief Moring on accepting this new role. Prior to accepting this new position, Chief Moring had served the citizens of Fair Oaks Ranch as a law enforcement officer for over 14 years. During that time, he has served as a police officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and most recently as Interim Chief.
Since being named Interim Chief in October 2019, Mr. Moring has provided exemplary service to the City. Inclusive of the direction and leadership he has provided during our unprecedented response to Covid-19, his outstanding performance could not have been a more positive reflection for the City and the Fair Oaks Ranch Police Department. As Texas businesses began to reopen, Interim Chief Moring and his officers prioritized the community’s safety by reaching out and working with local businesses to ensure they have the proper supplies such as masks and gloves to ensure everyone’s safety was a priority. Their dedication to keeping businesses and others safe while providing services to our citizens continues to be a noteworthy effort made by the Police Department under Chief Moring’s guidance.
