City of Selma issued the following announcement on April 27.
The City of Selma wants to encourage everyone to support Selma restaurants by safely getting take-out, curbside, drive-thru or delivery orders. To do this, we are having a little competition: “Eat Safe, Selma”. Every time you eat at a Selma restaurant between April 26th and May 10th, save your receipts. Scan the receipts and send them to wagee@ci.selma.tx.us by May 11th and you will be entered to win a free gift card to a Selma restaurant of your choice!
The top three contestants in the number of orders made (number of receipts) and the total amount purchased (before sales tax) at any combination of Selma restaurants between April 26th and May 10th will each win a gift card to their favorite restaurant in Selma!
Prize amounts for each category are: 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $75, and 3rd Place - $50.
As a bonus, the first-place contestant in each category will receive a proclamation from the Mayor and City Council at the June 11, 2020 City Council Meeting.
This contest is open to any person 18 years of age or older. Receipts must be received electronically no later than May 11th at 8:00am at wagee@ci.selma.tx.us. For questions, please email wagee@ci.selma.tx.us.
