City of New Braunfels issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
Councilmember Harry Bowers, New Braunfels City Council District 3 representative, will host his quarterly citizen forum on Thursday, March 5th beginning at 6:00 p.m., in the Tejas room at City Hall located at 550 Landa Street.
“Our main presentation will come from the City’s Assistant Public Works Director and City Engineer Gary Ford,” said Councilmember Bowers. “Mr. Ford will give a presentation on the design and location of the 1863 extension.” This future City roadway will continue FM 1863 from its current terminus at SH 46 to Veramendi.
“As the City and Veramendi continue to grow, this future roadway along with the future connecting roadway in Veramendi will be pivotal to effectively moving traffic,” said Bowers. Attendees at the forum will get a firsthand look at the preliminary roadway location and design.”
Councilmember Bowers will also provide attendees with updates available since his last forum and hold a general question and answer session.
