City of Fair Oaks Ranch issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.
On January 26, former Mayor Daniel E. Kasprowicz passed away.
In 2007, after the passing of former Mayor Gaubatz, Dan was appointed as the City’s second Mayor. In 2008 he was successfully elected to continue serving as Mayor until May 2010 when he chose not to seek reelection.
Prior to his Mayoral appointment, Dan served on the City Council, as an Alderman from 1997 to 2007. During this period he also assisted in forming the Fair Oaks Ranch Utilities Board to oversee the city’s newly-acquired water/wastewater company, Fair Oaks Ranch Utilities. He served as the Chairman of the Board from 1998 until 2002 when the Board was discontinued. While on the Board, he was very instrumental in securing agreements with GBRA for additional water supply, creating a progressive conservation plan, and forming the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee.
Mr. Kasprowicz’s devotion and dedication to our community as a humble servant will be long remembered. Complete details of his service can be found on the link below.
