Carrie Isaac, a social media user known for her timely updates on weather conditions, has been actively informing the public about the recent flash flood warnings and emergency situations in Texas. Her posts provide critical information on weather developments and official responses.
On July 5, 2025, Isaac shared a “Flash Flood Warning Area Map” to alert residents of affected regions. This map is intended to help individuals identify areas at risk and take necessary precautions.
Later that day, she announced a “NEW: Press conference at 2:30 with Gov Abbott will be live-streamed here”. The post also included links to resources from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), such as the Flood Operations Report and LCRA Hydromet, which provide real-time data on river conditions and rainfall.
On July 6, Isaac issued an urgent update regarding a ” FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY – LEVEL 1 Latest situational report”. She reported that over 38 USGS gauges were above flood stage, with more than 172 showing elevated flows. Major floods were occurring across several river basins including Guadalupe, Llano, Concho, San Saba, Medina, and Cibolo. The Hill Country had experienced significant rainfall amounts ranging from 10 to over 14 inches.
Additional information indicates that these updates are part of broader efforts by local authorities to manage flood risks in Texas during this period of severe weather conditions.
